Obstacle Course Set-Up-Certain obstacle will have to be set-up Friday night and other equipment will have to be made ready for the following day. |

| Volunteer Check- In Coordinators-
- Assist in monitoring volunteers’ signing in and out
- Issuing of volunteer T-shirt, assigning equipment needed for volunteer position

- Ensure participants’ entry are in order and the waiver is signed

Bike Marshals
We need individuals to help with directing racers on the bike course, assisting in directing traffic out on the course. Some of these positions overlap with the run course. The time commitment will vary with the course location. You will be informed of your course location prior to race day.
- Direct cyclists to turn the appropriate way at certain intersections.
- Advise cyclists to stay within traffic cones at corners.
- Advise and keep any wandering spectators/ pedestrians out of the bike course.
- Assist in directing traffic out of the course. Volunteers will be equipped with red flags and vest. Control pedestrians crossing at designated points
IMPORTANT: Volunteers are not to wave the red flags provided but rather to just hold the red flags and point in the direction where the participants will be turning. Volunteers will also be stationed at any intersection that requires vehicular traffic to stop and yield to bikers.
Please plan to bring a chair and reading material to await the first competitor, a cold drink (history dictates that it will be a fairly warm day) and your cell phone so that you can contact race officials in case of an emergency. |
Bike Water and Snack Stations
You will be serving water and/or an electrolyte drink to the racers. This is a child-friendly position, as long as there is a responsible adult with them in this position.
- Ensure there are adequate drinks at the allocated drink stations and continuously refill drinks, whenever necessary·
- Hand out drinks to the participants in a safe and professional manner as to minimize disruption to their race·
- Ensure area around the drink station is free of used cups & bottles and undertake to clear as much used cups & bottles away from the race course as possible·
- Pack unused drinks back into the cartons and place them at the side of your drink station
IMPORTANT: Certain drinks stations will have 'ice station' where drinks need to be chilled and ice will be made available
- Both water & energy drinks will be served
- Bottled water: Caps to be removed Prefer poured into cups
- Energy drink: Seal & caps to be removed
The drinks and food stations along the race course route are only to be made available to challengers competing in the race. |
Bike Route Sweeper
- To trace the last biker and report to organizer & every checking station when the last passed the station.
- Basic cycling skill is required.
- To help with bike maintanance or emergencies along the bike route

Transition area volunteers:
We need people to guard the transition areas. Participants are not allowed to remove their items from transition until the last participant has started the run course in order to allow a safe transition area for everyone.
- During the Race: Transition Area Marshals will become traffic cops - Direct participants out the appropriate exits at the transition area. They are also to keep any wandering spectators out of the transition area. *Note: Only participants are allowed to enter the Transition Area.
- Transition Area Marshals need to assist all participants in making a smooth transition from one section of the challenge to the other.
- Make sure with Bounty Hunter teams that there is no cheating in pre-starts. One cannot start their leg of the race until the other had fully completed their part in the challenge. All four Bounty Hunters must start the obstacle together.
After the Race: Continue to keep any non-participants out of the transition area - the most important task at this point is to check participants who are leaving to make sure that they are leaving with the correct bike. |
Walk/Run Course Marshal
We need individuals to assist in alerting runners to turns on the run course. The time commitment will vary slightly depending upon course location. Volunteers in these positions may wish to bring a folding chair and cold drink with them. Adults may bring children with them in this position as the volunteers are positioned near the sidewalks rather than out on the roads. Please bring your cell phone so that you may alert race officials in the event of an emergency.
- Direct runners on the correct run routes
- Keep pedestrians off the routes
- Alert medical officers should any runners need medical attention
- Control pedestrians at designated points
- Advise runners to stay within the cones along the routes
- Report any participant who did not follow the course
IMPORTANT: Volunteers will also be stationed at any intersection that requires vehicular traffic to stop and yield (give way) to competitors. |

Walk Sweeper-Last Person on the Run/Walk Route to make sure all participants are safe and in. |
Obstacle Course Positons- Volunteers here will make sure that the participants take part in that obstacle, that the participant does not cheat, and that the participant is safe thruout the obstacle challenge. If they feel that the participant has cheated in anyway that participant must go back to the beginning of that obstacle and repeat. |

Finish Line Volunteers:
We need people to assist at the finish line with timing and the distribution of finisher trophies.
- Help to give trophies to all participants who finish the race
- Cheer & support all participants as they approach the finishing line.
- Spotters: Identify the top 3 winners of each category.
- Assist participants in any needs they may have at that time and escort them to where they need to be.

Important: Ensure no no public is allowed to entry the finishing line area without proper credentials. |

Individual Line Greeter-Make sure that the participant is timed at the end and also given directions to where to head to next either to the surprize or givne a escort |
Finish Line Escorts- will see to the participants needs. Offer to get them a drink or food or escort them to where they can take a shower. Help them with any problems that they may have at this time and answer any final questions that they may have. |
Trophy Distributor- Will hand out trophies at the end |
Photographer- Will need pictures at the end. (You do not need to be a photograher for this position) |
