BE COURTEOUS TO DRIVERS AND PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL TO THE COMMUNITY WE RIDE THRU. |
1. Always wear a helmet |
2. Never wear headphones, Ipods, etc. |
3 Ride single file to allow traffic to pass you safely. Only ride two abreast when appropriate. |
4. Ride on the right ONLY! |
5. Pass on your left only, be sure to yell, "On your left" |
6. Use hand signals and respond to signals from fellow cyclists |
7. Talk to your fellow cyclists. Let them know: Car Back, Car Front, Stopping, Big hole in the road, etc. |
8. If you feel light-headed or you just don't feel good-STOP! Let a volunteer or the Bike Sweeper know that you need help! |
9. Please let anyone know if you are having a problem out on the race route. We will assist you in coming back to the campgrounds |
10. It is wise to have a drink carrier on you bike, we will have water and a energy drinks along the bike and walk/run route. In otherwords stay hydrated. Drink enough fluid. |
11. Follow the bike markings. We will have Bike Route Signs. THEY WILL BE BLUE |
12. Watch out for gravel and uneven surfaces. Let the other superheroines around you know about the conditions of the road. Example: Yell "Big Hole Ahead" |
13. Do not follow too closely to the other superheroines. |
14. Know your limits on Slagle Hill. Remember you can stop and take a breather if you need it. Also many people will be walking up this hill so if you need to get off your bike and walk do that. Go your own pace and don't worry about the masses. |
15. All of our stations will be equip with first aid kits. |
16. We advise you to carry a cell phone. |
17. Follow all traffic signs ,traffic rules and traffic marshalls. |
18. Do not tease the animals. Enjoy them but leave them alone. |
WILD WOMEN VOLUNTEERS AND THE BIKE SWEEPER HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO PULL YOU FROM THE ROUTE IF THESE STANDARDS ARE NOT MET!!!!! |
