Ok short and sweet and no lectures because from what you can see I will have my hands full for September.
Something unforeseen happened in August. I was approach with the opportunity of a move. I was ask to come take a look at the Westmont Hilltop Recreation Center because they were in need of a aerobic instructor. When I went up there the first thing I saw was going to be the workout room. It caught me off guard because it was three times the size of what I have now.
Bottom line for the move. SPACE!!!! We will have more space and not be on top of each other. I just want to say this decision did not come easy in fact this was a emotionally hard decision and I even ask Hilltop Recreation for some time to think about it. But the reality of it was when I went up to see the place and when I saw it, it just made the most sense for the programs to keep growing I needed to make this move. After talking to the women who attend my classes it seemed like it was mutual that everyone saw a benefit in a bigger room. Also some of you have work out in this facility before so it will be like going home. I think Roz can't sleep at night because she so excited!!!! Price still the same $4.00 a class. I am taking 2 weeks off to prepare for the Fall Season up at Westmont Hilltop and also for Women in the Wild.
September 22nd will be the first classes up in Westmont Hilltop Recreation Center.
The classes I will be teaching up at Wesmont Hilltop will be the pretty much the same as what I was teaching at the YWCA with a couple minor changes. Beginner Boot Camp is has a time change 5:30 to 6:30 pm. This class is very popular and well liked. It's a great class for beginner, intermediate and advance level . The change comes in the second class, instead of advance classes I am going with a 30 minute step class on both Tuesday and Thursday. That class will run 6:30 to 7:30 pm. I would like to get everyone use to 30 minutes on a step and then come January I am stepping it up to 40-45 minutes. Last will be the specialty classes. I decided to go with Hot Flash and Party Grind. The Party Grind class and Hot Flash you must sign up for. You can read the details of both Party Grind and Hot Flash above . If you have any questions about the move or classes please email or call me at 724-248-9749. Right now some of the Fluff and Rough Programs that I was going to introduce in the fall are being put on the back burner until I get a feel for the new place and see what programs are going to work and what programs won't.
Blairsville you are messed up right now too. Same problem need for space. Fall season is starting and Basketball leagues start in the gym. This year the multi-purpose room is not going to work for the Boot Camp or the Kickboxing so with that said we are cut right now to one day a week in the gym. Since the bootcamp class is the most popular. I am making that the Monday 5:15 to 6:15 pm class. This change is effective immediatly. Kickboxing women we still are going to jump rope at the beginning and also during bootcamp I will be doing some kickboxing moves so don't fret. Hopefully this is going to be a temporary situation. The borough just purchased the Armory and Tim said to go over and check it out but he warned me that the floor isn't in the greatest shape. So I am going to go check it out and see what I think. Bellydancing we may be able to use the multipurpose room but I have to think about that because even at times last year the bellydancing class started to get overcrowed. So bottom line when I figure this all out I will let everyone know what is going on.
I hope everyone enjoyed there summer again it went too fast for me and now we head into the fall and holiday season.
After I am done with wild women I will also be setting up some outdoor adventures. One being a trip down memory lane to Rachel Carson. We will try to get a couple more fall bike rides in also.
That's it guys short and sweet....Get to Class and watch the calories......Marcia
